We are excited to announce TinyMCE’s next major release, continuing our commitment to the future of rich-text editing.
TinyMCE 4.7 contains a refreshed modern theme and a new mobile-optimized experience. We also continue to make improvements to the core editor, delivering greater stability.
Refreshed modern theme
We refreshed the default modern theme so that it looks more like the apps we all use every day.
The background is whiter, while the spacing of menu and toolbar items is now more refined. We hope this improves user engagement in your app or site.
We also updated all our demos with the new theme. Check them out and let us know what you think of the design.
We mobilized TinyMCE
We now live in a “mobile-first” world (AI first if you believe Google) and expect a seamless experience between desktop and mobile. Our goal is to help you achieve this with as little effort as possible.
Announcing TinyMCE mobile. Designed to run on iOS Safari and Android Chrome, you’ll find a streamlined interface keeping the most common touch interactions easily to hand.
We have a live demo for you to play with, which you should view on a mobile device.
In the next few weeks, you will see big improvements to tables. Please keep an eye on your inbox and social media for this update.
